This month, we’re thrilled to spotlight Nicole Dillon from Breemar Flower Farm. Nicole is a landscape garden coach and micro-flower farmer in Ashland, VA. Breemar Flower Farm offers a rich tapestry of blooms, each with its own personality and charm.

Get ready to craft your way into the holiday spirit! 🎄✨ In this hands-on workshop, you’ll create stunning, nature-inspired ornaments and gift embellishments using beautiful natural materials like dried oranges, pears, apples, grapefruit, lemons, limes, cinnamon sticks, wooden beads, rosehips, greenery, and jute.

Whether you're decorating your tree, adorning gifts, or simply looking for a fun seasonal activity, this workshop will give you everything you need to create charming, eco-friendly holiday touches.

🌟 What’s Included:

• All materials to make 6 ornaments, 6 package embellishments, or one mantel length garland.

• Step-by-step guidance in a fun and relaxed environment.

• A selection of mocktails and festive snacks to keep the creativity flowing!

Bring your holiday cheer and a friend (or two!) for an evening of creativity, connection, and cozy vibes. This is one event you won’t want to miss!

Inspired by open-air holiday markets around the world, downtown shops and businesses are taking their wares to the streets with sidewalk sales, displays, and specials. I will be located at Ashland Dance Academy (110 Thompson Street)!

Plus, more than 100 local artists and makers will host a crafts fair. 18 local eateries are open for your enjoyment. Festive music and food trucks will be onsite.

This event is held rain or shine. Free, accessible, and open to the public.

Breemar Flower Farm will be showcasing our amaryllis and paperwhite arrangements and dried flower ornaments. You can purchase and take home that night or pick up at Pigeon & Co in New Kent at a later date.

Santa will arrive on a New Kent Fire-Rescue truck and be available after that time for pictures (pictures are taken by parents, grandparents, etc.). In addition, all the children on the nice list (even those on the line for the naughty list who are trying to do better) can write a letter to Santa at this event, put it in the Santa mailbox and he will respond in just a few weeks!

6. Ok, so there's lights and Santa. What else?

We'll have children's activities/crafts (free), local vendors for shopping, silent auction & hot chocolate.

With the help of Dominion Energy as presenting sponsor, Downtown Ashland hosts a FREE mile-long holiday light display and six weeks of special events. It all kicks off with a tree lighting ceremony featuring my youngest daughter dancing followed by 70 vendors selling their homemade goods to kick off your holiday shopping! My booth will be located at 110 Thompson Street (Ashland Dance Academy).

Walk, cycle, or drive through a twinkling spectacle of over ten thousand lights that dazzles visitors with dining, shopping, and entertainment along the route. The holiday magic illuminates each night at dusk and keeps shining all night in the Center of the Universe!

Immerse yourself in the creativity of our local artists showcasing stunning pottery, original paintings, art prints, note cards, exquisite jewelry, beautiful floral arrangements, and unique gift items. Join us for an enchanting Friday night reception, free to the public—an ideal chance to mingle with the artists, bid on our silent auction, and savor delightful wine and cheese. The excitement continues on Saturday with captivating displays, exclusive sales, and live painting by at least one artist. Plus, your support means 10% of all sales will benefit the Hanover Arts and Activities Center. Spread the word and invite your friends to share in this artistic celebration!
